Bluecoat Arts Centre, Liverpool (2008 RIBA AWARD)

An historic listed building in the centre of Liverpool, the Bluecoat has recently undergone a major refurbishment, including a new-build Art Gallery and Performing Arts Wing. Individual spaces have been created throughout the existing building for the provision of studio and other working spaces for artists, each with their own dedicated electrical supply and, where necessary, water services.

A new gallery has been created on the ground floor and a performance space for an audience of 200. Galleries are provided with comprehensive lighting and power system, whilst the performance space is to include lighting rafts, and theatre power and sound distribution systems.
