Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool

This 2,000 seat Grade 1 Art Deco concert hall underwent a £7m upgrade, including improvements to the ventilation systems, extra seating, a new large back-of-house extension for dressing rooms, administration, etc., a new restaurant, and totally refurbished public spaces. All electrical systems were completely renewed to achieve the latest standards.

The objectives of the upgrading included the need to have a building, which can house a wide range of functions, to generate working finance for the resident orchestra.
